How does facial rejuvenation acupuncture work?
Ultra fine needles are used on precise facial points to activate muscles in the face and neck, and increase circulation of blood and lymph. This helps to improve the complexion by creating a more even toned, youthful appearance. Thinner needles are also inserted along wrinkles and frown lines causing a micro trauma which triggers an increase in collagen production to fill that space. Following the practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine, additional points will be used to also treat the internal organs as internal imbalances can affect us externally.

Facial acupuncture vs. botox
Facial acupuncture is a safe, non-toxic alternative to botox or other surgical procedures. Just like any acupuncture treatment, consistency is especially key in facial acupuncture as the collagen returns to the area with each treatment. Facial rejuvenation treatments takes several weeks since the body needs time to naturally produce collagen and rejuvenate on its own - results accumulate over time.
Once built up in the system, facial acupuncture results can be maintained with monthly treatments.

Facial cupping
In addition to the acupuncture, facial cupping may also be performed to further enhance the complexion by minimizing pores, and lifting and toning facial muscles. Although mostly used for cosmetic reasons, allergy sufferers may also find relief as lymphatic drainage is a common side effect of treatment. Facial cups are different from the ones used on the body - they are smaller and made out of silicone or glass.
